The breakfast, drinks breaks and lunch are a very important social part of any shoot day and I feel that in order to fully appreciate and enjoy the company of the other guns and guests, it is important to join them and not spend too much time on your mobile phone or by rushing off at the end of the shooting, unless there is a valid reason to do so.
Mountgarret Shoot
2024-2025 Season
On all days for The Mountgarret Shoot we start at 8.30 a.m. with breakfast in our Shoot Lodge.
We take a number of drinks breaks throughout every shoot day when we provide champagne, sloe and damson gin together with soft drinks.
Soup and pies will be provided in the field at mid day.
In the 2024-2025 season we will be shooting through and taking a late lunch at 3.00 p.m. in our comfortable Shoot Lodge
HOSPITALITY: 2024-2025 SEASON
I appreciate everyone joins a shoot day for the actual shooting. However, in order to experience a full rounded shoot day the hospitality is still important. There is no restriction on the number of non shooting guests, as we will have space for everyone.
For the new season the following will apply.
All Shoot Days on The Mountgarret Shoot will start with breakfast in our Shoot Lodge at 8.30 a.m. followed by the brief for the day. We will then shoot through each day taking a late lunch in our comfortable Shoot Lodge around 3.00 p.m. There will of course be drinks breaks throughout the day with a soup and pie break around midday.
I do appreciate that a number of you and myself included prefer to take lunch at midday whereas others prefer to shoot through. This season, I regret we must shoot through.
I stress this applies to all our days including Clear Up Days. Clear Up Days will still be Clear Up Days and will include all meals and refreshments.
In short, all our days on The Mountgarret Shoot will now include breakfast and a late lunch when we can relax in comfort.
When we have shot through in the past it has not always suited everyone mainly due to other arrangements in the evening. I do appreciate this and request that you advise at breakfast if you do not intend to take a late lunch. There will be no reduction in the shoot fee if you do not take lunch.
A disabled toilet and a boot wash are also available.
One way or another I can assure you we will have a memorable season for all the right reasons.
